The holiday region of Calas de Mallorca stretches from Porto Cristo Novo in the south to Cala Murada in the north. The beaches, which are popular with international tourists, are lined up along its rocky coast. However, the name also describes the small district of Calas de Mallorca in the municipality of Manacor on the east coast of Mallorca, nestled between Porto Cristo and Portocolom, in the direct neighbourhood of Cala Murada. The centre of Calas de Mallorca is located on a limestone rock formation interspersed with caves. The entire area is considered the region with the most caves on the entire island.
